Fully-Integrated Transformer With Asymmetric Primary and Secondary Leakage Inductances for a Bidirectional Resonant Converter

چکیده

Typically, inserted-shunt integrated transformers have symmetric primary and secondary leakage inductances. However, bidirectional resonant converters typically operate more efficiently with different series In this paper, a new topology for an transformer which can provide tunable, asymmetric (series) inductances on the sides is presented. Two magnetic shunts, appropriate air gaps, are inserted between two E-cores windings separated by being placed at opposite of shunts. The proposed analysed in detail modelling design guidelines provided. It shown that magnetising inductance decoupled from each other, they be determined separately. has advantage using planar magnetically permeable sheets commercially available. theoretical analysis verified simulation experimental results. addition, to demonstrate performance practice, exemplar CLLLC converter designed, constructed tested transformer.

Modeling and Characterization of Leakage Inductances for Transformer Winding Fault Studies

This paper presents an analytical method to compute the leakage inductances of power transformers with a turn-to-turn winding fault. A leakage inductance model to represent the transformer with faulty turns is also proposed. The results obtained from the application of the analytical method are validated by using data obtained from finite-element analysis and experimental tests.
